1. It is with great sadness that Cumann na mBunscol Áth Cliath announce the passing of Tom Fitzpatrick (Tom Fitz).

A lifetime servant of Dublin Cnmb, Tom was Rúnaí of Dublin CnmB from 1988 to 2016. Tom guided the organisation for 28 years, growing it from 50 schools to over 300 schools.

Tom gave endless time to the organisation of matches for children around the capital and the promotion of Gaelic Games in primary schools. Tom also made a significant contribution towards steering teachers towards CnmB through his role as Games Development officer and his GAA elective in Cólaiste Phádraig. Thousands of teachers passed through the doors, having experienced his good will and generousity to others. A true gentleman.
