Traffic Plan and Bus Drop off/Pick Up

In agreement with the Gardai and DCU the following traffic arrangements are in place. 

For the safety of all in attendance: 

Please read these carefully and communicate this with bus drivers and parents. 

There is no on site parking for buses or cars at Morton Stadium.

A strict drop and go system will be in operation. Clonliffe Harriers  drop off is for big buses only. 

ON ARRIVAL: 

• Schools coming in big buses are to approach Morton stadium from the airport side, enter and drop off through the Clonliffe Harriers gate. This drop is strictly for buses, Cars cannot drop off at the Clonliffe Harriers gate. 

• See Map below for the one way system.

• Buses can ONLY open their doors at the designated drop off area. (See Map, Orange Square) No more than 4 buses will be permitted to enter the drop off area at any one time. 

• Stewards and Gardaí will direct buses and provide clear direction so we kindly ask for your cooperation and patience.

• • Schools traveling in mini buses (24 seater max) are to approach via the city side and drop off through the main Morton Stadium gate.
  • Buses can ONLY open their doors at the designated drop off area. (See Map, Orange Square). No more than 6 buses will be permitted to enter the drop off area at any one time.  

• • • For safety and traffic management, please do not attempt to get off the bus on the main road outside Morton.
    • If possible we also encourage local schools to avail of public transport.

ON DEPARTURE: 

• Buses are not to return to Morton stadium until drivers have received a phone call from the teacher.

• Buses are to pick up again from the same point as they dropped off

• The same system is in place for collection with larger buses entering in the clonliffe entrance via the airport side and smaller buses in the main entrance via the city side.

• Please wait behind the barriers until your bus is at the orange zone. 

• Students will only be allowed to enter the bus in the orange zones so please ensure you are ready before calling your bus.

Please be aware any cars or buses parked along the main road will be issued with a ticket by the Gardai.

Again please read these carefully and communicate these arrangements with bus drivers.

 Once again only when you are ready to depart should you call your bus driver. This will help with the flow of our pick up system in place.
